We are emptiness
Nothing in this world belongs to us, it is we who belong to the world.
Nothing of what we feel belongs to us, it is we who belong to what we feel.
Nothing that we live belongs to us, it is we who belong to Life.
Ego says no , but we are nothing but emptiness ...

I love trees
TODAY IS THE TREES INTERNATIONAL DAY.
I love trees.
I appreciate how trees calmly lose their leaves and also calmly and patiently wait for the birth of new leaves.
If trees were like humans, we would see them lowering their branches, eagerly, and catch all the leaves and keep them safe for themselfs.

Serenity vow
I kneel down at the foot of the mountain,
And I vow to practice the mindful breathing and smiling.
I follow the path of mindful living,
And look deep into things.
To follow the way that leads to healing, joy and enlightenment,
The path of peace and serenity.

Just preparing strawberries and nothing else
This weekend, while I was preparing some strawberries for lunch, my mother asked me if that was a moment of spirituality, because while I was doing it it seemed that I was thinking about life. I explained her that Zen does not mix spirituality with thinking about life or God or Buddha while we prepare strawberries.
In Zen spirituality is just preparing strawberries and nothing else.

It´s up to you
Regardless of the problems that happen in your life you are the only person who can choose how to react to that situation.

Pay attention to yourself to change
Try to pay more attention to yourself.
Try to understand how you relate at home, on the street, at work, at leisure.
Watch how you breathe, how you walk, how you touch , how you use your voice, as are your actions and thoughts.
Just watch how you relate to the innermost of yourself, with the essence of life.
Are you living your live consciously? Can you direct your thoughts, actions and words to change the meaning of what you want and dream?
Mahatma Gandhi said: "We must be the change we want in the world."
I would add: We must be the change we want for ourselves.

The path
The path is simply being what we are, is to be able to recognize what is the most suitable for us before the situations we face in life.
Is is to be gratefull for being alive and having the will to live the reality as it is.

The secret of emptiness
Taking things for granted as well thinking we know everything contaminates our mind.
First we have to clean the space within us to succeed in order to experience ourselfs, the other and the universe.
Doing so keeps receptive and in a positive state of mind.
It's our own emptiness that starts the process.

Happy new year
Regardless the symbolism of the new year, do not crystallize in the past, and not loose yourself in the future.
The past is gone and the future has not yet arrived.
If you want to stay balanced try to deeply observe life as it is, here and now.

Samsara
During our life we face endless waves of happiness and sorrow, prosperity and adversity (Samsara).
In this ceaseless whirl we must be aware that all these waves are momentary. Therefore we should always relativize its importance.

The noble art of stopping
Improve the art of stopping.
The art of stopping is the art of looking within ourselves doing absolutely nothing. It is a time to contemplate our mind, our thoughts and feelings and see what should be kept and what should be discarded.
Developing the art of stopping is essential.

You don´t have to be perfect
We forget that we don´t need to be perfect to be successful.
We must live aware that the excessive pursuit of sucess and perfection consumes our energy and erodes our small daily joys.

Serenity is much more than being calm
Serenity is much more than being calm.
Is to let negative feelings and emotions pass without cling to them.
To better understand this concept, imagine life like a movie.
If you press "pause" button to retain a negative event, you will lose the rest of your life.
If we use too often the "rewind" button to experience these moments you tend to forget the present moment.
Being calm is living above the present without dispersion, and without losing the focus of what you live in now.

Walking meditation
Today I suggest that you develop the good habit of meditating while walking.
Contemplate the unity of life while you walk..
When we walk with a carefree spirit our nervous system relaxes, the blood circulates with more vitality and the brain renews itself.
This practice allows us to contemplate Life and to realize more clearly our deep identity with the universe.

The Universe is the whole reality
Let us become one with the universe.
The Universe is the whole reality.
We can not escape reality, whether we live in illusion or enlightenment.

Thoughts of Life
Thoughts of worry and fear are terrible forces within ourselves. They poison the very source of life and destroy the harmony, efficiency of action, vitality and vigor.
Instead, thoughts of joy and courage, cure, increase efficiency and multiply the mental powers.

Go slowly
You can practice a quieter life practicing slow motion.
The arrival at home at the end of a working day is a great opportunity to do household chores more slowly, watching every move and experiencing mindfulness in every action.
Go slowly and keep trying.

Try this
Try this:
Empty your lungs, empty your mind from thoughts, empty your emotions.
Expire all the air that you can.
And do not think of anything.
Just realize, concentrate on that air coming out.
Become your body.
Become this air.
