Serenity is much more than being calm.
Is to let negative feelings and emotions pass without cling to them.
To better understand this concept, imagine life like a movie.
If you press "pause" button to retain a negative event, you will lose the rest of your life.
If we use too often the "rewind" button to experience these moments you tend to forget the present moment.
Being calm is living above the present without dispersion, and without losing the focus of what you live in now.
